Marist College (NY) recently opened Saxbys, an entirely student-run café often referred to as an “experiential learning platform.” CEO Nick Bayer described Saxbys as “an education company disguised as a coffee company,” saying the student employment experience was a core component of the company’s charge. Saxbys is a partner of Gourmet Dining, reported the Marist Circle. It offers coffee shop beverages as well as culinary brunch options.
