Faculty and staff members at the University of Maine who have been impacted by sexual violence, relationship violence and stalking now have access to a free Confidential Resource Advisor (CRA). CRA Jen England provides confidential support and resources to helps survivors process their experiences and determine next steps in a safe, nonjudgmental space.
“My goal is to give some power and agency back to people who have had it taken away and to provide them with as many options as possible,” England told UMaine News. “I’m here to make sure individuals are physically and mentally okay, and that they’re safe. My hope is that those folks who don’t want to talk to somebody who isn’t confidential or don’t want to report an incident can still get the support that they need and deserve.”
England is available in person and via Zoom to assist those experiencing interpersonal violence. Learn more here.
