In an effort to prioritize holistic well-being and success – as outlined in their strategic plan – the University of Iowa’s University Human Resources and the Office of the President launched a new Discover Your University program for faculty and staff. The program offers employees two visit days this fall where they can register to explore places like the Hancher Auditorium, the National Advanced Driving Simulator and more during regular working days. Employees are encouraged to participate to get to know one another better while discovering what other campus units are accomplishing.

“This is an exciting time at the university as we begin to fulfill the new strategic plan and its mission,” Cheryl Reardon, chief human resources officer and associate vice president, told IOWANow. “The Discover Your University initiative is one way to provide employees the opportunity to feel engaged in their community and learn more about some of the fantastic things going on around campus they may not have known about.”
