Benny – or Bennington George – a Newfoundland therapy dog and his handler Carol Treece recently celebrated their 100th visit to the Bowling Green State University (OH) campus. The two have been coming to campus, more recently as part of the BGSU PAWS Team, since September 2019. Their goal is to support students’ health and wellness through consistent visits to the BGSU campus.

“The BGSU PAWS Team has opened up many opportunities for Benny and I, as well as for other therapy dogs and handlers in the community,” Treece told BG Independent News. “COVID-19 initially prevented us from reaching our 100th visit, but in the end we were presented with new and exciting opportunities.”
