The University of Arkansas recently held a “Making Your Day Work” Carnival to showcase the campus community’s services and commitment to the employee experience. Over 25 departments and units participated, building connections across campus and creating a more collaborative, informed workplace. And nearly 500 carnival participants enjoyed interactive booths, demonstrations and activities.
“This was the best information fair I’ve ever attended since working here,” one participant told the University of Arkansas News. Another said, “The most rewarding part of the experience was the opportunity to connect with individuals from various departments. Regardless of advances in technology and efforts to streamline processes, I firmly believe that personal interactions remain invaluable.”
Faculty and staff members said they appreciated being able to learn about employee services that they were not familiar with prior to the event, reported the News.
